Bikepacking is, so to speak, the synthesis of MTB and minimalist camping, comparable to the feeling of freedom you get from mountaineering, but with the range and thrill of mountain biking. This new trend is above all linked to a particular style of travel, in which riding as light and agile as possible is only one part of the experience. It is much more about simply riding out of everyday life, out of the city, ideally off-road and over changing surfaces. It doesn&#8217;t matter whether you&#8217;re out for just a weekend, a week or even a month. Travelling with little luggage and away from paved roads without losing off-road capability and speed: that&#8217;s the clue.
