Reviews help you decide what to buy, but only if they are genuine. That is why we explain openly here how reviews at PROTECTIVE® Sports come about, what the labels tell you and how we deal with criticism.
Only genuine buyers can review
In the shop, only customers who bought the product from us can review it. After your purchase, we invite you by email to review the goods. This personal invitation link ensures that every review is backed by a genuine order. We do not allow anonymous or invented reviews without a link to a purchase.
What “Verified buyer” means
If a review carries the “Verified buyer” check mark, we were able to match it unambiguously to a completed order in our shop. The match is made via the order ID, that is, the proof that this product was actually bought from us. Reviews from OTTO: In addition, we show reviews from verified purchases via our OTTO Marketplace account. These are clearly marked “Verified by OTTO Marketplace” so that you can recognise the source at any time. We imported the OTTO reviews on 30 June and on 8 October 2026, with all star ratings, where the product is available in the shop.
What “Unverified purchase” means
Occasionally we receive a review that we cannot match to a specific order, for example because the order was placed with a different email address from the one given with the review. We label such reviews transparently as “Unverified purchase”. They are still displayed, but you can see at a glance that the link to a purchase could not be confirmed automatically in this case.
How the reviews come about
After you receive your order, we send you an invitation to leave a review. You award stars, can optionally write a text and can give feedback on individual features such as fit or quality. In the shop, we collect reviews only this way. The only other source is the reviews from OTTO mentioned above.
Spam is removed, criticism stays
We check incoming reviews before they go online. In doing so, we remove only spam, insults, unlawful content or clearly off-topic texts. We do not delete negative or critical reviews from the shop. Honest criticism is part of it and helps both you and us.
No paid or rewarded reviews
We do not pay anyone for a review and we do not tie reviews to discounts, vouchers or other benefits. How you rate a product affects neither the shipping of your order nor your price.
How we calculate the stars
The average star rating of a product is based on all published reviews of that product, including those from OTTO. It is unweighted; we do not exclude individual votes.

Das Langarmtrikot passt gut und ist angenehm zu tragen. Einzig, die Ärmel sind ein bisschen zu lang und die Trikottasche ist etwas zu klein, da passt das z.b.: das Handy schlecht rein.
Finde, der Rock raschelt nicht, wie bei anderen. Das Dunkelblau ist schön. Ich mag die seitlichen elastischen Einsätze. Sieht auch schön aus. Habe dickere Thermoleggins drunter. Damit sitzt er schon fest🤭 ist aber noch bequem. Habe normalerweise 48. Dieser Rock sitzt bei selber Größe aber enger. Wenn es Größe 50 geben würde, hätte ich ihn umgetauscht.
Ds Trikot hält gut warm. Die kleine Tasche hätte man weglassen können. Sehen andere aber wahrscheinlich anders. Würde es ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
Super Hose, fällt normal aus, ich hatte sie etwas größer (Größe 38) bestellt wegen der Fahrrad Unterhose, Größe 36 hätte auch gereicht ärgere ich mich etwas. Bin Super zufrieden.
