General information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. For detailed information on the subject of data protection, please refer to our privacy policy set out below this text.

Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the section “Information on the controller” in this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected, on the one hand, when you provide it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter in a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically or after your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of the page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions on the subject of data protection.

Analysis tools and third-party tools

When you visit this website, your browsing behaviour may be statistically analysed. This is done mainly with so-called analysis programs.

Detailed information on these analysis programs can be found in the following privacy policy.

Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Processing by a processor
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that the service provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Information on the controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

F&E Protective GmbH
Industriestraße 18
94051 Hauzenberg (Jahrdorf)

Phone: +49 851 987956-10
E-mail: office@protective-sports.com

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be erased unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, erasure will take place once these reasons no longer apply.

General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, where special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9(1) GDPR. In the case of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information in your terminal device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if this is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information on the legal bases relevant in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

Recipients of personal data

In the course of our business activities, we work with various external bodies. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external bodies. We only pass on personal data to external bodies if this is necessary in the context of the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. disclosure of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the disclosure or if another legal basis permits the disclosure of the data. When using processors, we only pass on our customers’ personal data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.

Note on data transfer to the USA

Our website includes, among other things, tools from companies based in the USA. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data held on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, erasure and rectification

Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us about this at any time. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

(1) If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

(2) If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.

(3) If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.

(4) If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may, apart from its storage, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

Objection to advertising e-mails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the legal notice obligation for sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam e-mails.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your terminal device. They are stored on your terminal device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your terminal device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping basket function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies concerned are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); consent can be withdrawn at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Where cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you of this separately within the scope of this privacy policy and, where applicable, request your consent.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

(1) Browser type and browser version
(2) Operating system used
(3) Referrer URL
(4) Host name of the accessing computer
(5) Time of the server request
(6) IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the optimisation of its website; for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

Enquiry by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular statutory retention periods, remain unaffected.

Comment function on this website

For the comment function on this site, in addition to your comment, information on the time the comment was created, your e-mail address and, if you do not post anonymously, the user name you have chosen are stored.

Storage of the IP address

Our comment function stores the IP addresses of users who write comments. As we do not check comments on this website before they are published, we need this data in order to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal infringements such as insults or propaganda.

Storage period of comments

The comments and the associated data are stored and remain on this website until the content commented on has been completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).

Legal basis

The comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. An informal message to us by e-mail is sufficient for this: office@protective-sports.com. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used and the user’s origin. This data is assigned to the respective terminal device of the user. It is not assigned to a user ID.

Furthermore, with Google Analytics we can, among other things, record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks. Google Analytics also uses various modelling approaches to supplement the collected data sets and uses machine learning technologies in data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that make it possible to recognise the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://business.safety.google/adscontrollerterms/sccs/.

The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Further information on this can be obtained from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/participant-search/participant-detail?contact=true&id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=de.

Google Signals

We use Google Signals. When you visit our website, Google Analytics records, among other things, your location, search history and YouTube history as well as demographic data (visitor data). This data can be used for personalised advertising with the help of Google Signals. If you have a Google account, the visitor data from Google Signals is linked to your Google account and used for personalised advertising messages. The data is also used to create anonymised statistics on the user behaviour of our users.

Processing by a processor

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising programme of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed on the basis of the user data available at Google (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example by analysing which search terms led to our advertisements being displayed and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.

This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://business.safety.google/adscontrollerterms/sccs/.

The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign people who interact with our online offering to certain target groups in order to subsequently display interest-based advertising to them in the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting).

Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked to Google’s cross-device functions. In this way, interest-based, personalised advertising messages that have been tailored to you depending on your previous usage and browsing behaviour on one terminal device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your terminal devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can object to personalised advertising via the following link: https://myadcenter.google.com/.

This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Google Ads Customer Match

If you have given your express consent when signing up for our newsletter, we transmit your e-mail address to Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Before transmission, we convert the address on our system into a check value (SHA-256 hash). Google compares this check value with the check values of its own user accounts. If there is a match, Google can show you advertising from PROTECTIVE® or exclude you from certain advertising, for example because you have already bought a product. Google deletes check values without a match after the comparison.

This is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future, for example by e-mail to office@protective-sports.com. After withdrawal, we remove your address from the list without undue delay. Without a renewed update, Google removes entries after 540 days at the latest.

The information on Google Ads above applies to data transfer to the USA and certification under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework”. Further information: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6379332

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognise whether the user has carried out certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our advertisements and which actions they carried out. We do not receive any information with which we can personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.

This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

For more information on Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google’s privacy provisions: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

WordPress Stats

This website uses “WordPress Stats” to statistically evaluate visitor access. The provider is Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110-4929, USA.

WordPress Stats uses technologies that make it possible to recognise the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). For analysis purposes, WordPress Stats records, among other things, log files (referrer, IP address, browser, etc.), the origin of website visitors (country, city) and which actions they have taken on the site (e.g. clicks, views, downloads). The information collected in this way about the use of this website is stored on servers in the USA. Your IP address is anonymised after processing and before storage.

This analysis tool is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the anonymised analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. Where corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Use of web analysis

Web analysis

This website uses its own web analysis service. This service does not use any personal data. No data is read from or stored on the website visitor’s terminal device. The IP address of the website visitor is anonymised. It is not possible to recognise the website visitor beyond the website.

No cookies are set; any cookies that may be present are transmitted as technically necessary, but are likewise not used.

The web analysis enables the website operator to record and analyse the use of this website by website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as time of use, page views, length of stay, operating systems used or screen resolution used. It can also be recorded whether website visitors carry out certain actions such as clicks or purchases.

The anonymised analysis data is transferred via this server, without the use of personal data of the website visitor, to the web analysis service Google Analytics and is generally stored there on a Google server in the USA. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Profiling or linking with other sources is not possible with this anonymised analysis data.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google’s privacy policy: Link to the website

Objection to data collection

You can prevent the collection of your analysis data by clicking on the following link: Disable data collection. An opt-out cookie will be set which prevents the collection of your data on future visits to this website in your current browser.

6. Social media

Buttons from the social networks Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are integrated on this website. These are links to our respective account pages with these providers. As long as you are browsing our homepage, no data is passed on to these providers.

However, if you click on the corresponding buttons, you will be taken to their websites, where their applicable privacy policies apply.

For Facebook, you can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

For Instagram, follow this link: https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy/.

7. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected, or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter, or you can write an e-mail to office@protective-sports.com. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data you have deposited with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider “Rapidmail” until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you cancel the newsletter or after the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block e-mail addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

After you have been removed from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist in order to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used only for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the statutory requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

Our use of the newsletter service provider “Rapidmail”, Positive Group Deutschland GmbH, Wentzingerstraße 21, 79106 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, is based on a data processing agreement for the protection of the data and its handling.

8. Plugins and tools

YouTube with enhanced data protection

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in enhanced data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the passing on of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced data protection mode. For example, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after a video has been started, YouTube may store various cookies on your terminal device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent attempts at fraud.

Where applicable, further data processing operations may be triggered after a YouTube video has been started, over which we have no influence.

YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in its privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Google Maps

This site uses the map service Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. With the help of this service, we can embed map material on our website.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. If Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Fonts for the purpose of uniform display of fonts. When you access Google Maps, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

Google Maps is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings and of making the places we indicate on the website easy to find. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. 9. Use of our web shop

(1) If you would like to order in our web shop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we need to process your order. Mandatory information required for the processing of the contracts is marked separately; further information is voluntary. We process the data you provide in order to process your order. For this purpose, we may pass on your payment data to our principal bank. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(b) GDPR. For the purpose of the order, you must create a customer account through which we can store your data for later further purchases. When you create an account under “My account”, the data you provide will be stored revocably. You can always delete all other data, including your user account, in the customer area.

(2) Due to commercial and tax law requirements, we are obliged to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years. However, after two years we restrict the processing, i.e. your data is only used to comply with the statutory obligations.

(3) To prevent unauthorised access by third parties to your personal data, in particular financial data, the ordering process is encrypted using TLS technology.

10. Data protection provisions on the use of external payment service providers

We offer several payment methods for the use of the web shop and make use of various payment service providers for this purpose. Depending on which payment method you choose, different data is transmitted to the respective payment service provider. The legal basis for the transmission is Art. 6(1) sentence 1(a) GDPR. Below we list our payment service providers.

Mollie

On our website we offer, among other things, payment via Mollie. The provider of this payment service is Mollie B.V, Keizersgracht 313, 1016 EE Amsterdam, Netherlands (hereinafter “Mollie”). If you select payment via Mollie, the payment data you enter will be transmitted to Mollie and to the payment provider you have selected accordingly (Klarna, SOFORT Banking, Bitcoin, etc.).
Your data is transmitted to Mollie on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract). You have the option of withdrawing your consent to data processing at any time. A withdrawal does not affect the effectiveness of data processing operations carried out in the past.

PayPal

If you choose the PayPal payment method, your personal data will be transmitted to PayPal. A prerequisite for using PayPal is opening a PayPal account. When using or opening a PayPal account, your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, among other things, must be transmitted to PayPal. The legal basis for the transmission of the data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract).

The operator of the PayPal payment service is:

11. Processors

We make use of external service providers (processors), e.g. for the shipping of goods. A separate data processing agreement has been concluded with the service provider in order to ensure the protection of your personal data.

We work with the following service providers:
Group7 AG International Logistics
DHL Paket GmbH
DPDgroup
United Parcel Service of America Inc.

12. Product ratings and customer reviews

If you have ordered from our shop, we will send you an e-mail 10 days after dispatch asking you to rate the product you purchased. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in product ratings for transparency and product improvement).

Data processed: first name, e-mail address, order ID, product information, star rating submitted, free text and, where applicable, a self-chosen pseudonym.

Storage period: Reviews are published for an unlimited period as long as the product is available in the range. After the product has been removed from the range, reviews are deleted after 24 months.

Pseudonyms: You can provide a pseudonym instead of your real name. We expressly recommend this.

Verification: We label reviews as “Verified buyer” if the review can be assigned to a completed order in our shop. The assignment is made via the order ID, not via your e-mail address or your name. You can read how we check reviews and what the labels “Verified buyer” and “Unverified purchase” mean on the page Authenticity of reviews.

Objection and deletion: You can object to the processing at any time. An e-mail to office@protective-sports.com with the keyword “Delete review” and a reference to the order ID is sufficient. We respond within 7 working days.

Tool used: Customer Reviews for WooCommerce (CusRev). The plugin runs entirely on our server; your data does not leave our shop. No transfer to third parties takes place.

Unsubscribe from reminders: Every review e-mail contains an unsubscribe link. One click is enough. After that, we will not send you any further review e-mails relating to orders.
