Bikepacking: Ride, eat, sleep, repeat!

So what exactly is bikepacking, the cycling trend that has taken over bike shows, bike shops and adventure fans in recent years?

Riding trails by day, cooking pasta on a gas stove, sleeping out in nature, waking up to the first rays of sunshine, packing the kit back onto the bike and starting all over again. Bikepacking is, so to speak, the synthesis of MTB and minimalist camping, comparable to the feeling of freedom you get from mountaineering, but with the range and thrill of mountain biking. This new trend is above all linked to a particular style of travel, in which riding as light and agile as possible is only one part of the experience. It is much more about simply riding out of everyday life, out of the city, ideally off-road and over changing surfaces. It doesn’t matter whether you’re out for just a weekend, a week or even a month. Travelling with little luggage and away from paved roads without losing off-road capability and speed: that’s the clue. True to our claim “Innovate the ride”, the right clothing offers countless storage options around the clock, so the equipment is reduced to a minimum and the bike stays easy to handle.

The advantage: bikepackers are completely independent of hotels, guesthouses or campsites. Simply find a nice spot by a river, lake or in the woods, pitch the tent, roll out the sleeping mat and sleeping bag and sleep under the open sky.
