In winter your thighs get cold first: they face forward into the wind. That is why the P-Hot Gin is padded and wind-repellent at the front and elastic at the back. Winter pants for the bike, for the winter walk and for the days you stay outside.
Wind-repellent at the front, flexible at the back
The 100% polyester softshell front is wind-repellent and breathable, with a water-repellent finish that is PFAS-free. The back is made of thermo-elastic material with inserts of 90% polyamide and 10% elastane. It stretches with every movement and lets heat out when you start to sweat on the climb.
Kapok instead of down
The thigh area is padded with FLOCUS, a blend of 70% kapok and 30% polyester. Kapok is the fibre from the fruit of the kapok tree: hollow, light and warming. It warms where the wind hits, without puffing up the pants.
Details for cold fingers
The reflective zip at the leg opening opens the pants wide, so you can also pull them on over shoes. A small inner key pocket keeps the key where it does not rattle.
Two colours, S to 5XL
The P-Hot Gin comes in black and dark blue, in S to 5XL with the same cut. The outer fabric is polyester with recycled content (TECTRON®). Like all PROTECTIVE models, the P-Hot Gin is developed in Lower Bavaria.

FLOCUS (KAPOK)
Kapok: light and soft
Kapok is an exceptionally light natural fibre with a fine hollow-fibre structure. It feels soft and pleasant and, depending on the material construction, can contribute to lightness and comfort. In shirts, kapok provides a light, pleasant feel when worn. In padding, the fibre can contribute to a light and warming material structure.
PFAS-free
PFAS-free means, for the products marked accordingly: no PFAS are used in their manufacture, according to our underlying specification.
TECTRON®
Products marked TECTRON® contain polyester fibres with recycled content. The recycled materials used are GRS certified (Global Recycled Standard).
